“magnificent 13 days of tasting Egypt”
Our review is not only intended to praise Ahmad and his tailor made tours, but also Egypt…
Oh, Egypt…Such a magnificent land! You can literally FEEL its beauty, its genuinity and its grandeur! That is why we highly encourage people to visit it! Probably like many other tourists, we ourselves had our share of reserve before booking our journey there. We heard a lot of rumours and legends about being unsafe, because the prejudice says that everything you associate with arabian world must be unsafe. THAT IS SO IMMENSELY WRONG!
We found warm and kind people that greeted us wonderfully, and the conflict context that media shows is far from being actually true. We walked late at night by ourselves, we drove within the chaotic Cairo traffic, we merged in very crowded places, yet nothing ever gave us the impression of being unsafe! Just myths, spread generally by people who never traveled or experienced it personally…. And even if one might have negative experiences when traveling (in any country), it is unfair to blame the destination, the place or the people hosting them. Incidents can happen everywhere, no reason to label a whole nation for them.
What to say about Egypt Tours Portal?!… We cannot find the right words to thank Ahmad and his collaboators (Mohamed Hader, Minii, Mohamed Hasan, Said, Hasan Ali, Mohamed from Baharyia and all the other people that accompanied us) for organising such a marvelous tour. It was tailor made for us, thus a totally private tour for my husband and I. Our program was as it follows:
1. Giza and Sakkara
2. Alexandria
3. Aswan
4. Abu Simbel
5. Kom Ombo
6. Edfu
7. Luxor (Valley of the Kings, Hatcheptsut’s Temple, Karnak, Colosses of Memnon)
8. Hurghada
9. Baharyia Oasis (with Black Desert, White Desert)
10. Cairo (coptic and islamic districts, Egyptian Museum)
Everything was structured so that we can really enjoy the sites we visited, but at the same time to also have leisure time and not feel over solicited. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and you can find our reviews about them on tripadvisor, as well:
– Steigenberger Cairo Pyramids Hotel
– Steigenberger Minerva Nile Cruise Ship
– Sunrise Holidays Hurghada
Our tour guides were very nice!! Not to mention well prepared and very good English speakers. In northern Egypt (Lower Egypt), we must thank the too modest and diplomatic Mohamed Hader, most of the times assisted by Minii the driver. They did everything to make us feel comfortable and answered all our questions. You are some very dear friends to us, guys!!
The southern Egypt (Upper Egypt) was very nicely experienced with the help of Mohamed Hasan (and the Iron Man Said), who assisted us during the 4-day-cruise on the Nile, from Aswan to Luxor. We enjoyed all our moments together and when the 4 days were over, we almost felt like family 🙂 Thank you sincerely for your assistance!
Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to meet Ahmad, the architect of our tour, the Man in the Shadow who made everything happen. We cannot thank you enough for the precision and the professionalism that you and your team used for making us know Egypt and its wonders. Everything Ahmad promised, was delivered precisely as predicted, punctual, without any hidden extra costs or incidents. We hope to meet you in person next time, because we intend to come back, since we haven’t seen the half of it!!

“Wonderful Egypt!!”
My 18 yr old daughter and I had the most amazing tour of Egypt filled with memories that will last a lifetime! I organised our 12 night tour with Ahmed via email ( with various alterations ) and everything went like clockwork. We were met at every stop by guides and drivers and were treated like honoured guests. I have always traveled independently in the past but taking my daughter to Egypt ( and never having been there myself ), I felt the need for some added security but I was surprised by how safe and secure I felt. There really is no need to worry about any of that.Everywhere we went we were welcomed by warm, friendly and generous people. Our guides, Ibrhim ( Cairo and Alexandria )and Mahmoud ( from Aswan to Luxor ) made all of these ancient sites come to life for us. Our drivers were so professional ( and yes, traffic can be crazy in Cairo) that we always felt in safe hands.
We spent our last days planning our next visit to this incredible country and cannot wait to return! Egypt Tours Portal delivered a superb service for an amazingly good price.( frankly, I couldn’t have done this cheaper myself ) and we recommend this company wholeheartedly!!

“Unforgetable 13 DAYS TRIP TO EGYPT”
From the moment we landed at Cairo, we were looked after by Egypt Tours Portal until we were dropped back to Cairo on our return flight 13 days later. Our itenerary included Cairo, flight to Aswan, 4 days River Nile Cruise, visit to Kom Ambo, Luxor, driven to Hurghada for a three day stay in a holiday resort, flight back to Cairo, stay in Cairo for a night and then take the flight next day back to London. We stayed in 3 different hotels plus cruise. Visited Aswan Dam, various temples, museums, valley of the kings and local towns and bazaars.
Egypt Tours Portal what can I say, except that you have done a wonderful job. The time keeping by all the drivers and guides were excellent to say the least. We never waited for them, they waited for us. Our guide in Cairo was Ibrahim, a good, polite and experienced man, I have no hesitation in recommending him.
Our guide who picked us up at Aswan Airport was Eid Mohammed, he was with us day and night for four days he even accompanied us at our cruise. If you ever go to Aswan/Luxor insist for him, he is funny, affable, knowledgeable and very respectful.
If you want to stay in Luxor, I recommend Sonesta St George Hotel, we only stayed their for a night but are very impressed with it. The curise on river Nile was wonderful, something we will remember for rest of our lives. Luxor is a beautiful little town, must see if in Egypt. Finally the stay in Steigenburger Al Dau Holiday Resort was icing on the cake, peaceful, plenty of food and drinks, big bedroom with terrace.
Thank you Egypt Tours Portal for arranging such a busy schedule without a single mishap and giving us the time of our life. Keep up the good work.
