Day Two: Magical Tour to The Pyramids, Saqqara, & GEM

After breakfast and hotel check-out, set out for the monuments of Giza, where the scale and ambition of ancient Egypt still awe visitors after more than 4,000 years.
The glorious Giza Complex is a victory of ancient archaeology formulated during the 4th Dynasty around 2600 BC, and stands as an eternal legacy. It is created to guide pharaohs to the distant stars and encourage admiration across millennia. This heavenly site features colossal wonders such as:
The Great Pyramid rose majestically around 2570 BCE, to 147 m (481 ft) tall which stood as the world’s tallest human-made structure until the 14th century (1311 CE). Its precise engineering and complex interior passages continue to fascinate scholars and travelers alike, and it remains the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World.
Guarding the plateau for multimable maillienias, the Great Sphinx combines a lion’s body with a human head—traditionally associated with King Khafre (2558–2532 BCE). Carved from a single limestone outcrop, it measures roughly 73 m (240 ft) in length, about 20 m (66 ft) in height, and 19 m (62 ft) in width. Nestled between its paws is the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV (c. 1401–1391 BCE), a testament to the Sphinx’s enduring sacred power.
At the foot of the plateau, the Valley Temple is an Old Kingdom medical & architectural masterpiece (c. 2686–2134 BCE)—served as the setting for key funerary rites, including the Opening of the Mouth ceremony. Its remarkably preserved basalt floors, massive limestone blocks, and austere symmetry provide vital clues to ancient Egyptian mortuary practice.
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on the Giza Plateau is a striking, pyramid-inspired complex with direct views of the pyramids, housing state-of-the-art labs and climate-controlled galleries. Home to 100,000+ artifacts—including the most complete display of Tutankhamun’s treasures—it blends immersive storytelling with cutting-edge conservation. Highlights include the Hanging Obelisk, the colossal Ramses II, the ten statues of Senusert, the Grand Staircase, Merneptah’s Victory Column, and royal regalia with Ptolemaic portraiture.
Savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your explorations.
Memphis was the first capital of unified Egypt that came into existence under King Narmer (Menes) in the early 3rd millennium BCE. As a political and religious center dedicated to Ptah, god of craftsmen and creation, Memphis helped shape Egypt’s identity. The temple name Hut-ka-Ptah (“Enclosure of the Ka of Ptah”) likely influenced the later Greek Aigyptos, the root of the word “Egypt.”
The Saqqara Step Pyramid Of Djoser opened the gate to the golden age of pyramids, designed by the visionary Imhotep. Rising six tiers to about 62 m, it represents the first large-scale stone monument in history and launched Egypt’s grand age of construction that continued for over 1500 years.
Head to Cairo airport to catch your flight to Luxor, where our representative will take you in a private vehicle to your Luxor hotel to spend the overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Three: Explore Luxor’s East Bank

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then set out to explore Luxor’s East Bank highlights:
The vast & sacred precinct of Karnak Temples Complex, Ipet-Isu (“The Most Selected of Places”) and Pr-Imn (“House of Amun”) was created over 4,000 years ago and continued for millennia. One of the largest religious complexes ever built, Karnak served as the spiritual heart of ancient Egypt for some 1,500 years. While many deities were venerated here, Osiris, Montu, Ptah, Isis, the complex is primarily dedicated to the Theban Triad: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Wander through forest-like colonnades, ceremonial courts, and processional avenues that reveal layer upon layer of pharaonic devotion and power.
Enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant in Luxor, then return to your hotel for a short refresh before your evening visit.
Luxor Temple after dusk is at its most atmospheric. Founded around 1400 BCE under Amenhotep III (and later enhanced by Tutankhamun, Horemheb, and Ramesses II), this “southern sanctuary” (Ipet Resyt) glows under night lighting, highlighting its finely carved reliefs and elegant colonnades. Dedicated largely to Amun and associated with the rejuvenation of kingship during the Opet Festival, Luxor Temple pairs regal grandeur with intimate detail, an unforgettable sight after dark.
You will return to your hotel to spend the night.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Overnight: Luxor Hotel
Day Four: Discover Luxor’s West Bank

After breakfast and check-out the next day, continue on the West Bank to Luxor’s legendary monuments:
The magnificent temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Djeser-Djeseru, “Holy of Holies”). came to be in 1479 BCE and took roughly 15 years to complete. This New Kingdom masterpiece blends a dramatic cliffside setting with a serene, symmetrical design. Its reliefs and statues celebrate one of Egypt’s most successful rulers and showcase the refined aesthetics of the period.
The storied Valley of the Kings is hidden deep in a golden underground necropolis made for the kings and royalty of the New Kingdom (c. 1570–1070 BCE). Within its 63 tombs, richly decorated passages and chambers preserve the beliefs, artistry, and funerary rites of pharaohs such as Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, Seti I, Rameses I–III–IV–V–VI–VII–IX–X, and Tutankhamun. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1979), the valley offers profound insight into the journey to the afterlife.
Pause for lunch at a local restaurant before your final stop.
The twin Colossi of Memnon, monumental quartzite statues of Amenhotep III, date to c. 1350 BCE. Each soaring about 18 m (60 ft) and weighing roughly 720 tons, the figures once flanked the entrance to the king’s vast mortuary temple. Damaged in a major earthquake in 27 BCE and partially restored by 199 CE, the statues became famous in antiquity for the “singing Memnon”, a dawn phenomenon likely caused by temperature-induced changes in the stone.
You will head back to your hotel and spend the overnight in your Luxor hotel.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Five: Uncover Cairo's Golden Attractions

After breakfast, check out of your Luxor hotel and fly to Cairo to complete your 9-day Egypt and Jordan itinerary with a guided tour of the capital’s signature sights:

Across two floors, you’ll find statues, jewelry, coffins, papyri, and funerary pieces fashioned from gold, precious stones, wood, and stone, masterworks from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms presented in atmospheric, classical galleries.
Pause for a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Coptic and Islamic Cairo.
The famed “Hanging Church,” or Saint Virgin Mary church, was built atop the southern gatehouse of the Roman Babylon Fortress. It was a divine place where the holy family took shelter. With roots in the 5th–7th centuries, it long served as a seat of the Coptic Patriarch. Inside, elegant icons, a timbered ceiling, and marble ambons reflect centuries of Christian artistry.
Egypt’s earliest mosque was founded in 641–642 CE in Fustat. Amr Ibn Al Aas Mosque was rebuilt and expanded many times; its open courtyard, arcaded halls, and forest of columns trace the evolution of Islamic architecture while remaining an active place of worship.

Themed galleries highlight crafts, daily life, and belief, while the celebrated Royal Mummies Hall offers an intimate, carefully curated encounter with New Kingdom pharaohs.
The medieval spine of Fatimid Cairo is Al Muizz street is lined with restored mosques, sabil-kuttabs, madrasas, and caravanserais. This open-air museum of Islamic architecture glows at twilight and buzzes with cafés and artisans.

The Nabataeans in the early 1st century AD created this magnificent marvel and enlarged after the Roman annexation in AD 106, Petra’s Great Theatre seated up to 7,000 spectators. Its fusion of Nabataean rock-cut engineering and Greco-Roman design makes it one of the city’s most striking monuments.
