Cairo Tour

Just finished our day in Cairo. We were met at the airport by our guide for the day (Ahmed Zakaria) and then taken straight to the pyramids. Following the pyramids and the sphinx we traveled to the museum in Cairo. Ahmed was a fantastic guide throughout. He was fun, knowledgeable and attentive to all of our needs and interests. He made sure the day suited what we wished to see and our budget for the day. A thoroughly enjoyable tour finishing in some of the best lamb ever eaten at our lunch stop, Onion Rings. Would recommend this tour and more importantly Ahmed to anyone visiting Egypt. Thanks for a lovey tour.

Cairo private tour!!!
We had a private tour and we’ll what can we say it was fabulous!!!
Our tour guide for the day – Ismail was brilliant, so informative
And friendly!!! The driver was also fantastic, his car was the nicest in Cairo!!!
Advice would be to take Egyptian dollars with you when visiting Cairo as most places there take that currency over English pounds!!! Luckily Ismael helped us out!!!
Can’t recommend using Egypt tours portal enough!!! Even the perfume and papyrus stops were good!!!
Many thanks Egypt tours portal!!!

Cairo day trip from Hurghada
This is a fantastic way to see all of the major attractions in Cairo and Giza. We were picked up from our hotel and promptly flew to Cairo where we were given an excellent private tour of the city by Mohammed Elshemei and Taha. We were treated to traditional Egyptian breakfast when we arrived as well as lunch and lunch and snacks later in the day.
Mohammed has an excellent knowledge of the city’s history and passionately shared his wisdom. He was very honest about the standard tourist traps and helped us avoid any scams.
It was a hassle-free way to see the sights with local expertise in an information-packed 20 hours! I would highly recommend this trip!!

Excellent private tour of all Cairo
My husband and I spent the day being guided around Cairo by the wonderful Mohammed Elshemei and Taha and could not recommend the experience highly enough.
We booked the tour last minute and the tour company arranged everything for us, including transfer to and from our Hurghada hotel, domestic flights and a full day’s guided itinerary and meals in Cairo.
Highlights included the obvious attractions of the Egyptian Museum, pyramids, and Sphinx along with unexpected delights of traditional Egyptian breakfast, a sailboat trip on the Nile and a papyrus factory visit.

Our tour was fully private, with a dedicated and attentive tour guide and the driver looking after us for the whole day, meaning we could squeeze in as much activity as possible and had space and time to ask lots of questions and take lots of photos. Our guide Mohammed was extremely knowledgeable and had excellent English, ensuring we learned a huge amount from our day trip.

“Day Trip Hurghada – Cairo”
First class service from start to finish!
We were staying in Hurghada ( Jungle Aqua Park – also brilliant!) and had contacted Egypt Tours Portal ( [email protected] ) in advance with our requirements for a day trip to Cairo. Ahmad responded promptly with a suggested itinerary, price – and what was included in that, and the cost of any extras we could require, e.g. Admission to the inside of the pyramids, the Boat museum, Mummy Room etc.
Once we decided to book, we paid the deposit required and within minutes the booking was confirmed and the flight ticket emailed to us along with hotel pick up times. The balance of the price was paid to the guide in Cairo. ( due to unstable Egyptian pound English sterling was used which we took with us).
Hotel pick up was prompt (4.30am) and we were taken by minibus taxi to Hurghada airport. The domestic flight by Egyptair was at 6am so after going through several security checks in the airport there was little waiting before boarding. Flight was on time and arrived in Cairo just before 7am. The guide was waiting for us at the airport exit doorway, they aren’t allowed in the terminal building, and we were soon in our way with a very good driver! ( an essential for negotiating the Cairo traffic!!) We went on a Saturday as Fri & Sat are rest days and traffic is lighter.
By 8am we had crossed the city and arrived in Giza.
I had arranged to visit ‘Prince Fluffy Kareem’ ( see their Facebook page) an English registered charity that provides free care and treatment to the working animals in the area that is based near the Sound & Light show area for a few hours while the rest of our group went up to see the sights of the Giza plateau. The guide was excellent taking them where they wanted to go and also out on the desert road so they could get the desert view photos.
After picking me up we went for the included lunch ( drinks extra) at a lovely restaurant directly opposite the Sphinx, the upstairs dining room had a huge glass widow that gave the most amazing view of the pyramid area.
After lunch we made a short stop at an Egyptian Cotton shop where everything from t-shirts and dresses to beautiful wall hangings, towels and bedding could be brought, then onto the Egyptian museum.
Again our guide was most accommodating, and arranged to take two of us in and meet the other two later who were a bit footsore and just wanted to view the Tutankhamen section. ( the driver took them for refreshments) Other tour groups were deftly avoided and the guide was knowledgeable and interesting as we went around the museum.
We had time to spare before our 7.30pm flight back so we went up past the citadel to a hill overlooking the city for a great view of it and refreshments. We were dropped back at the airport with just the right amount of time to spare before our flight back to Hurghada. The taxi driver was waiting for us and we were swiftly returned to our hotel.
Nothing was too much trouble for either the drivers or our guide, Mohamed Hedar, and he asked if there was anywhere else they could take us to view and for our feedback and if there was anything they could do to improve their service.
Nothing was hurried and all our needs were met. Vehicles were good and comfortable.
The price we paid was very reasonable and was considerably cheaper than some of the quotes received. We really couldn’t fault what was a tiring but thoroughly enjoyable and brilliant day. We would certainly recommend them and use their tour services again as there is so much to see in and around the Cairo area ( Coptic Cairo, mosques, citadel, bazaars, Saqqara, Dashur, Memphis etc)

“Cairo Day Trip Giza and Museum”
I have only good things to comment about the trip. In my case I was alone and in low season travelling from hurghada and returning same day. Since the first contact asking pricing the company reacted very professionally..inclusive they reserved my air flight tickets and vouchers without paying and instantenly. Arriving to Cairo Sayed (my guide) was waiting properly and on time, he is a dictionary..precisely talking, He has an Egyptologic title.he was really profesional taking care of each possible detail.. I didnt find any improvement opportunitty. No doubt, my selection was the best with this company. About pyramids what can I say.. they are amazing.. the Museum was wonderfull!. Thanks Sayed!!!

“Excellent tour to Cairo from Hurghada”
We booked a day tour to Cairo through ETP. We were very impressed by the helpfulness of our tour operator Ahmed. From the initial email contact we realised that we are dealing with a professional company. Our tour guide Ibrahim had a great passion for Cairo and he had a lot of knowledge to share with. Our lunch was at a pyramids’ view restaurant which was really amazing. At the end of the tour we received a call from the owner to make sure we got what we expected and that was a nice from him.

“Had the time of my life ☺”
Where shall I start well it all started back in the UK where my friend looked into TripAdvisor to see who had other best review in Hurghada for tours and excursions. It turned out it was Egypt Tours Portal Days so we thought we contact them and meet them as we land in Egypt. Ahmed one of Co workers came and took us out to one of the local shisha bar to sort everything out for us. He made sure we were happy with everything and also was convenient us in terms of time and money. Bless him he paid for the bill and even took us to the best exchange currency Bank. Me and my friends flew from Hurghada to Cario. We met our tour guide Ahmed Halemooo. He greeted us and welcomed us like we have known him for years. Really nice person friendly easy to get along with. He showed us the Pyramids took us to the Museum and also where Tomb were found. Our driver Ismail would pick us up from hotel drop of us where ever we wanted to go bare in my mind there was 6 of us he was very patient and we’ll mannered. They both spoke very good English better than me, it very easy to understand and follow. They made is feel like Family I’m still in contact with them through Facebook. Hopefully I can go again in the future. I would highly recommend u choose this firm to explore Egypt.
