GEM is designed to have one of the biggest conservation centers in the Middle East, along with research labs and educational facilities dedicated to preserving Egypt’s heritage. Everyone will get to marvel at immortal treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the complete collection of over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun.

Salah El Din Citadel

The Cairo Citadel is the guardian spirit that was constructed between 1176 and 1182 to be Egypt's government headquarters for more than 500 years until the 1860s. Within the citadel are many museums and mosques featuring incredible decorations and marvelous examples of Islamic architecture.

Mohamed Ali Mosque

Mohamed Ali Mosque is a beautiful religious center built between 1830 & 1848 as a symbol of independence. It is an ideal example of Ottoman architecture and design that came to be known as "The Alabaster Mosque" as the walls were made of white alabaster taken from the surface of the great Giza pyramids.

The Hanging Church

The Hanging Church is the heart of the Coptic heritage in Cairo, which was built between the 3rd and 5th centuries on the southern side of the roman Babylon fortress that held the holy family during their divine journey in Egypt. It is famous for holding captivating Coptic decorations worthy of exploring.

Ben Ezra Synagogue

The Ben Ezra Synagogue was constructed in 882 AD, filled with the most incredible Jewish architecture, art, and mesmerizing decorations. It is famous for being the place where baby Moses was found and later became even more famous for the discovery of the Cairo Geniza, a priceless collection of Jewish manuscripts.

Al Muizz Street

The magnificent Al Muizz Street is one of the most magical and captivating streets in Old Cairo which came into existence during the Fatimid period in the 10th century AD. Everyone will get to cast their eyes on the most marvelous creations of art and culture found within the heavenly labyrinth of Muizz.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

Khan El-Khalili bazaar is a golden street known for offering shopping in the Middle East that was constructed in 970 AD, home to many miraculous treasures, and home to the finest local artists in the heart of Cairo.

The whole family will head back to their hotel in Cairo to spend the overnight.

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is a middle-aged wonder that dates to the 2nd century BC. It has three floors containing unique decorations and the Caracalla hall from the early Roman and Hellenistic eras.

Pompey's Pillar

Pompey’s pillar was created around 300 AD for the Roman emperor Diocletian. It is 33.85 m high and made of granite and is rumored to possess the remains of General Pompey.

Qaitbay Citadel

The Qaitbay Citadel is a very special monument that was built by Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay in 1447 AD in the same location that held one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

Aswan High Dam

The Aswan High Dam was constructed in the mid-60s to have total control of the annual flood, save the water in the artificial lake Nasser, and produce hydroelectricity.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) was destined to stand at the Karnak temple complex. It was carved to pierce the heavens and showcase the ancient Egyptian stone craftsmanship to reach a height of 42 m and a total weight of 1200 tons.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple of Isis, the goddess of Motherhood, the mother of Horus, and the wife of Osiris. It was constructed during the 7th century BC in the Ptolemaic age to shed some light on the religious history and stories of ancient Egypt.

Kom Ombo Temple

The golden Double temples of Kom Ombo are a heavenly piece of art that is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek source of the Nile and Horus the elder on both sides of the temples plus they are identical in every way. It was one of the last ancient Egyptian temples to exist which was made during in the Ptolemaic age between 180 BC and 47 BC.

Edfu Temple

Edfu Temple is the most preserved archeological wonder of Egypt dedicated to the sky falcon god Horus is the symbol of divine protection and victory which acted as one of the most preserved temples in Upper Egypt. It was created in the Ptolemaic period between 237 BC and 57 BC which is renowned for shedding some light on the religion and beliefs of the ancient Egyptians.

Valley of the Kings

Valley of the Kings is the source of priceless treasures for more than 500 years during the New Kingdom (1570 – 1050 BC), hidden in the heart of a mountain. It has a total of 63 enchanting tombs of some of the most innovative kings and queens in the history of ancient Egypt, like Tutankhamun, Seti I & the entire Ramses Dynasty.

Hatshepsut Temple

Hatshepsut Temple also known as the Holy of Holies (1507–1458 BC), has stood as a symbol of beauty and class, plus ancient Egyptian architecture. It was carved within the Deir el-Bahari cliffs during the 15th century BC to be the center of Hatshepsut’s mortuary royal Cult and hold the valley festival in the sanctuary of Amun, plus several shrines dedicated to Hathor, Anubis & Amun.

Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC) are two gigantic statues that were moved from Cairo to Luxor to keep the memory of his heritage and achievements alive. It has the power to radiate some of the most magical voices, and over the ages, it was resurrected many times across the ages.

Karnak Temple

The divine Karnak Temple Complex, the most selected of places, was constructed over the span of more than 2000 years from the Middle Kingdom (2000–1700 BCE) all the way to the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE) to become the ideal center of the religious life of ancient Egypt. It is the largest open-air museum home to the Great Hypostyle Hall, a number of precincts of Amun-Re and Mut, and many more.
