The golden Abu Simbel Temples are miraculous marvels that have an ancient temple complex dedicated to the Pharaoh Ramesses II (1279–1213 BC) and were constructed around 1264 BC to immortalize his legacy and his epic achievements, like the Battle of Kadesh that ended in 1274 BC by creating the first documented peace treaty in history.

The temple consists of two main temples: the Great Temple of Abu Simbel and the smaller Temple of Hathor. The most remarkable feature of Abu Simbel is its colossal rock-cut statues of Ramesses II, which stand at the entrance of the temples, plus the sun festival where his birthday and coronation are celebrated on the 22 of February and October of each year.

The Aswan High Dam is a large dam located across the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt. It was constructed between 1960 and 1970 with the assistance of the Soviet Union. The dam was built to regulate the flow of the Nile River, provide irrigation water for agriculture, and generate hydroelectric power.

The unfinished obelisk is an ancient structure that was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC) to stand at the entrance of the golden Karnak temple complex, which carries her golden name. The obelisk was carved directly from the bedrock but was left unfinished due to a crack that appeared during the carving process. The mythical Kom Ombo Temple is an extraordinarily unusual double temple that was constructed during the Ptolemaic period and is dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the elder in both the southern and northern parts of the temple.
