Giza Pyramids Complex is one of the oldest monuments in the world as it dates to more than 4000 years and consists of three main pyramids, six little pyramids, and the sole protector of the entire country "Sphinx". There is also the valley temple which was used to preserve the heritage and legacy of the kings and queens for countless generations. The Giza complex considers one of the top Egypt tourist attractions.
It is the last intact structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World which makes it one of the oldest and largest constructions in the entire current world. The Great Pyramid is surrounded by mysteries and fringe theories due to its complex interior compared to its magnitude. It dates to 2580 BC which makes it older than 4500 years old to be the first of its kind that launched the golden age of construction in Ancient Egypt. It was built in 20 years using 2,300,000 pieces of limestone each weighing 2.5 tons and a workforce with 100,000 free skilled workers. It stands at the height of 147 m (481 ft) which made it the tallest building in the world for 3800 years until the construction of the Lincoln Cathedral in England in 1311.
A.K.A. Abu Al-Hawl which means "The Father of Terror" in Arabic. It's the oldest statue in history, it has the shape of a mythical creature called "The Great Sphinx" which has the body of a Lion and the head of a man probably King Khafre as a symbol of power and wisdom. It served as a source of inspiration to countless travelers, poets, and travelers even today as a lot of mysteries and unanswered questions still surround the sphinx. It has a height of 73 m (240 ft) and 19 m (66 ft) and was carved out of single limestone rock.
It is the home of the Mummification process that started in the old kingdom (2686 2134 BC). It is one of the best-preserved structures of the ancient Egyptian civilization, made entirely from limestone, and granite, and holds amazing diorite statues of Chephren.
The Grand Egyptian Museum is a highly advanced colossal building filled with many archaeological marvels, aligned with the astral pyramids of Giza, and spans nearly 490,000 square meters. It serves as a gateway to 5,000 years of history, illuminating the artistry, spirituality, and enduring legacy of ancient Egypt for generations to come. It bridges ancient Egypt and modern innovation through advanced architecture, artistic sense, and immersive storytelling.
GEM is designed to have one of the biggest conservation centers in the Middle East, along with research labs and educational facilities dedicated to preserving Egypt’s heritage. The largest monoliths' column ever built outside of Rome, it stands at 28 m tall and 2.7 m wide of pure red granite, and on its western upper side is a Greek inscription dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. It was named Pompey's Pillar because in the Middle Ages the Crusaders mistakenly believed that the remains of the great Roman general Pompey are located in a pot at the very top of the pillar.
The ultimate example of the beauty and might of the Mediterranean Sea. It was constructed in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa'it bay on top of the legendary lighthouse of Alexandria the third longest surviving wonder in the ancient world until its destruction by earthquakes between 956 AD and 1323 AD using the stones salvaged from the lighthouse. Qaitbay Citadel is quite famous as some believe it holds the immortal shining spirit of the Alexandria Lighthouse and contains phenomenal designs for the Islamic era.
