Day Two: Visiting Giza Pyramids Complex + the Egyptian Museum
The second day of your tour in Egypt is going to be a really spectacular one as you will start your expedition in the land of pharaohs and spend the whole day exploring the most fascinating treasures and monuments left by the amazing ancients and that is why your day tour will be about starting a tour at:
The amazing Pyramids in Giza are definitely the most famous tourist destinations all over the world. For those who don’t actually know the reason for constructing Giza Pyramids, we need to clarify that the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menquare were the last resting places for each of those kings who ruled Egypt during the 4th dynasty. Check out the amazing pyramids and you can get inside any of them to see their internal tunnels and chambers.
Who can deny that the Sphinx sculpture of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC) captured the amazement and interest of each traveler who came to witness the glory of Egypt? It is definitely not a standard statue but it is one of its kind, especially with its body that is constructed as a powerful body of a lion and its head that reflects Khafre’s wisdom and more interesting things that you will discover from your guide.
While being in Giza Complex, you will have a terrific opportunity to head to a very important spot for the ancient that is known as the Valley Temple, and there, they used to practice some mythical rituals of Opening of the mouth ceremony and mummifying the bodies of the kings and add everything to it so that in the afterlife, the kings don’t miss any of their items and get their bodies as complete as they were.
The Pyramid of Khafre is one of the most commanding monuments on the Giza Plateau, built for King Khafre of the 4th Dynasty around the 26th century BC. Although it is slightly smaller than the Great Pyramid of Khufu, it appears taller and more dominant because it was constructed on higher ground. The remaining white limestone casing near its summit offers a rare glimpse of how the pyramid once shone in ancient times, reflecting the power, mystery, and architectural mastery of Old Kingdom Egypt.
The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three main pyramids of Giza, yet it stands out for its elegance, balance, and refined proportions. Built for King Menkaure of the 4th Dynasty around the 26th century BC, it once featured a lower casing of polished granite, traces of which can still be seen today. Standing beside the pyramids of Khufu and Khafre, it completes Giza’s legendary royal trio and represents the graceful final chapter of Old Kingdom pyramid building.
Our solo woman guest will live a delightful trip across the heavenly Giza Plateau and enjoy every second of its divine aura and riches.
After having a look at such fascinating ancient sites, you will head to a wonderful oriental restaurant where you are going to enjoy your lunch and continue the remaining of your day tour in one of the most adorable sites in Egypt based on the feedback of millions of Egypt's visitors which is:
The Grand Egyptian Museum is a marvelous billion-dollar cultural jewel on the Giza Plateau, purposefully aligned with the colossal pyramids of Giza and spanning nearly 490,000 square meters. It serves as a gateway to 5,000 years of history, illuminating the artistry, spirituality, and enduring legacy of ancient Egypt for generations to come. It bridges ancient Egypt and modern innovation through advanced architecture and immersive storytelling.
GEM is designed to have one of the biggest conservation centers in the Middle East, along with research labs and educational facilities dedicated to preserving Egypt’s heritage. Everyone can marvel at treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the complete collection of over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun.
Finally and at the end of your day tour, we will transfer you in a private car to your hotel to enjoy the rest of your night on your own enjoying the beauty of the city.

This is the most famous Islamic fortress that dates back to the 15th century and the major reason for its construction was to protect the city and the whole country from the invader's attacks. Qaitbay citadel came to be between 1477 AD to 1479 AD by the mamluk ruler Qaitbayis located on the northeast part of the Pharos Island and it was actually constructed in the spot where there was the fantastic Alexandria Lighthouse one of the seven wonders of the ancient world which was broken to pieces after a series of earthquakes in the 11th century. It is such a terrific spot to have so many amazing photos and spend some unforgettable time.
Pompey’s Pillar is the prestigious Roman Pillar made between 298–302 AD that is the last remaining part of the great temple colonnade that marks the Serpeum location. The amazing triumphal column for Emperor Diocletian will unveil some incredible facts and interesting information from your tour guide regarding that site on spot and she will take some beautiful photos for you next to the pillar to keep remembering such enthusiastic moments.
You won’t believe how incredible this site is unless to head to it and check out more than 200 great tombs made between the 2nd century and the 4th century AD it has many different layers and passages which give the ability of its visitors to stroll around its parts freely. All things inside the catacombs date back to the Greco-Roman empire and allow you to understand more and more secrets about the history of Egypt.
It is going to be the best time to enjoy your lunch meal and your lunch today is different since you are going to enjoy a spectacular seafood meal at a well-chosen restaurant since Alexandria is best known for its seafood and you should definitely try it while being there. After finishing your lunch, it will be time to continue the rest of your day tour towards:
