To celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary we wanted an adventure to match the occasion, and the only way, I can think of describing our 6 Days Cairo & Nile Cruise Package arranged through Egypt Portal Tours, is “trip of a lifetime.” Everything from transportation, accommodations, food and tours was as presented. Our personal guides, Mahmoud in Cairo and Omar with us on the Nile Cruise, were so very knowledgeable, and we learned much more about Egypt’s story than we ever could have reading books on our own. We truly experienced Egypt through their professional abilities and gracious hospitality. I can’t recommend Egypt as a destination and Egypt Portal Tours enough!

Cairo / Aswan / Luxor

USA/Texas
Can’t say enough good things about our experience to Egypt and the tour operator Egypt Tours Portal!
Having never been to Egypt or used the tour operator, I didn’t set my expectations too high because it sounded like too good of a deal. I ended up being blown away by what a great value and experience we received!
The 6-day itinerary was all done on-line and customized to our requests with professional input and attention. The small deposit for booking was more than reasonable and I wouldn’t hesitate to pay in full in advance the next trip.
The assistance from being greeted at the airport was invaluable and our guides and drivers we punctual, professional, and knowledgeable.
Our guide on day 1 in Cairo was Reham and it was obvious she was passionate about the history of Egypt. She showed us a great experience at the great piramids, sphinx, and museum, as well as a wonderful local meal. We then flew to Aswan and met our guide (Omar Khalifa) for the rest of the trip. He accompanied us for a 3 day Nile cruise and a 4th day in Luxor. We visited many of the temples and tombs with Omar and loved having him explain the history with his vast knowledge.
I would highly recommend visiting Egypt and using Egypt Tours Portal…!

Egypt Tour

Egypt portal tours was very responsive and accommodating in finalizing our Egypt adventure. Mahmoud Nour who was with us during our Nile river cruise from Aswan to Luxor was amazing. He was very honest and was always looking out for our best interest from shopping to seeing the most beautiful part of all the temples we visited. He treated us more than just a tourist in his country. In the end we gained a friend from Egypt.

Cairo & Nile cruise (6 nights!)

Overall we had an epic trip in Egypt! I did a 6 night trip with my Mum and we had an amazing adventure. The trip was really well organised.

We would recommend Reham for the Ciaro tour and Mahmoud for the Aswan – Luxour section (thanks for the epic week guys!) Both guides are very knowledgeable, friendly about professional.

The boat is a bit dated – rooms are better on upper deck so request those cabins.

Mum & Dad & two grown up sons had a brilliant week in Egypt.

A brilliant tour with two very good guides, firstly Ismoil Ali looking after us in Cairo the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, Saqqara Step Pyramid & the excellent Omar Khalifa looking after us in Aswan – the High Dam & Philae Temple, on the Nile visiting Kom Ombo, Edfu, from Luxor The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak.
The cruise was excellent, what was the best tour we all had a different opinion but well worth seeing all of them. Communication with the company not always the best, we didn’t know the names of our hotels until we arrived but our guides & drivers made us feel safe in an environment that was a little scary with tight security especially at the airports, the hotels, etc with armed police and army always evident.
Overall we would recommend it

Way Beyond Expectations

Wow, where do I start?

Egypt was ever so much more than expected. I was traveling with a young acting group of 40 – 50 year olds. We wanted an adventurous and active tour which we got with this tour company.

Ahmed Galal was our guide from Aswan to Luxor (his home town). He is very passionate about relaying the 5,000 year old Egyptian history and answering each and every question with enthusiasm. He ended up taking us personally to all the sites as we all toured well together. I would ask for him when planning your trip.

Surprises each day for us….

A hot air balloon ride over and down the Nile

Camel ride amongst the great Pyramids

Valley of the Kings

Perfume and Alabaster Factory

Nile River Cruise

Amazing trip of Egypt with Egypt Tours Portal

We 3 friends booked a trip to Egypt with Egypt Tours Portal after reading about the reviews online. Being highly impressed with some of the feedback, we booked for a 5 nights 6 days tour package of Cairo (1 night) and 3 nights Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor.
The first day were greeted by our guide Mohamed Elshemi at the airport on time. He was extremely polite and friendly. After greeting formalities, we were driven to our hotel in a private car with no hiccups. All well arranged as per our requests. The dinner cruise that night was arranged flawlessly. A perfect table close the the show and the window was arranged specially for us. Next day Mohamed took us through the Cairo Museum and Pyramids which are a must see in Cairo. He was very knowledgeable and explained all our simple clarifications.
We went to the Pyramids of Giza where we took wonderful pictures and Mohamed helped us with the same.

There was a minor hiccup in our remaining payment to the operator as the place where we swiped our card did not work but the money was deducted from our account. We were told that unless we made the remaining payment our tour would be cancelled. Somehow luckily we could arrange money to be withdrawn later from the ATM.

P.S: Just be sure to carry only cash as we faced a lot of problems with the card transaction. No time was given to us and last minute payment request caused problems since it was difficult to get so much money in such a short time.

After some perfume trying session, we were dropped to the airport to catch our flight to Aswan. Here we were greeted by our guide Mohammed. He took us through all the check in formalities for the cruise and ensured everything went smoothly. Even a light dinner was arranged as we checked in to the cruise late in the night. His explanation of all the places we visited during the cruise was wonderful. Having a deep knowledge with 16 years of experience helped us a lot in understanding the history of the places we visited like, Edfu temple, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple and so on. The more you ask him questions the more he explains in detail about the history which was intriguing. It left me quite impressed. We finished our cruise in Luxor and headed back to Cairo by flight where our driver was waiting on time to take us back to the hotel. The next morning we were dropped off at the airport for our flight home.

Overall, I would highly recommended Egypt Tours Portal especially the guides who interacted with us. It has made my trip to Egypt memorable.

Egypt
I want to thank “Egypt tours portal” because from the moment we arrived in Cairo we felt supported we had our representative making the visas and took care of all necessary paperwork. The driver was already waiting for us and Nacho, our private guide archaeologist, a fully instructed guide with great knowledge of the history, I also want to give Thanks to Ramsey, our second guide who waited for us in Aswan and showed us so many wonders in Luxor, including the magnificent Abu Samuel Bun Sambel Temple. These professional archaeologists provided us with a lot of information. The most important was to feel guided and safe in a unknown Country and language to us. Thank Egypt Tours Portal!!!

Amazing company!
From booking until our drop off back home to Hurghada, Egypt Tours Portal took care of all of our needs and more. The office is very quick to respond and can custom build an itinerary to suit any needs.
The guides are all qualified egyptologists and provide extensive knowledge not only for the tours but also allow you to avoid the crowds and queues giving you an incredibly relaxed and special tour in total safety. All the vehicles, drivers and transport is of the highest quality and private with the flexibility to do extended tours or shopping if you require.

Starting from El Gouna they organised our transport to Cairo where our guide Ahmed Dahab showed us through the Egyptian Museum, pointing out the major pieces and giving us all the information we would have missed doing this ourselves.
Next to Giza and the amazing pyramids and Sphinx where Ahmed once again shone bright with his knowledge of egyptology and local knowledge avoiding the crowds and queues.
With the sound and light show done we then flew to Luxor where our next guide Haytham Saady or ‘Sam’ greets us with his infectious smile.

Staying in the Steinberger Hotel for the night we really feel like royalty. Breakfast is incredible and we need to be dragged away to start the sights.

Sam is incredibly passionate about the history and people and we get an invaluable insight into Ancient Egyptian culture and construction. With Karnak and Luxor temples visited it’s time to check into our room on board M/S Sarah, our Nile Cruise ship, and relax before the sound and light show of Karnak Temple later in the evening.

The following day is spent visiting the Valley of the Kings and once again having a private guide pays off with Sam pointing us toward the most impressive of the tombs and being able to explain the major pieces, differences and background to really immerse us in the experience. Hatshepsut’s stunning temple is next on our tour and is one of only three of this design and magnitude in the world. An awe inspiring story and impressive ruins to boot. The Colossi of Memnon is visites before rejoining the boat for our cruise to Edfu.

Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples are on the agenda for day three and Sam shows us the most important parts of the temples, again making himself absolutely invaluable to our experience. We stop for coffee and shisha before boarding the boat again for the cruise to Aswan.
This was a special trip for us, celebrating our engagement and Sam upon learning this organised and dance and cake on board the vessel, much to the delight of everyone in the dining room.

The last day we check out a little later and visit the British Dam, High Dam and take a boat trip onto an island containing the Philae Temple. The Unfinished Obelisk rounds out our sightseeing and shows the incredible ability of the Ancient Egyptian engineers.

We absolutely loved this tour and will be recommending the company to everyone and anyone who is considering an Egyptian holiday. We are not ones for organised tours normally, preferring to do our own research but we both agree this trip wouldn’t have been anywhere near as enjoyable without our guides.

These guys are top shelf and professional and we look forward to hearing from others how amazing their experiences were while travelling with Egypt Tours Portal.

Spent an amazing week in Egypt thanks to Egypt Tours Portal. Everything was wonderful and it was so convenient and easy not to have to organize anything on my own. My guides were excellent. Amany showed me a wonderful time in Cairo, and took me to an awesome little roadside stand for delicious breakfast pitas so I got a little bit of authentic local color, right off the bat. She was knowledgeable and a lot of fun! Omar was a wonderful guide for the Nile Cruise portion of my trip from Luxor to Aswan. I learned so much from him, and all of his knowledge made the sites that I was seeing feel so much more impactful! It was also nice to be steered clear of scams! I recommend the company highly, and Amany and Omar as guides! Everything was stellar! Thanks so much!
